Vacation with the Family [M- Dodger, Clarke, Bells & Lexa]

Clarke smiled as she walked behind Dodger as she was happy to get out of the hospital and back to the hotel. She looked over at Murphy as she said "I'm sure I'm fine babe don't worry." She smiled at Violet as John handed Violet to her. She looked down at her daughter and kissed her forehead as she was careful not to startle her. The baby was so beautiful and she was excited about getting back to their vacation and the whole family being together. She knew that Dodger was going to be a good big brother.

Violet sucked on her pacifier as she looked at her mom and shook her rattle with one hand while pulling on John's hair with the other. "Let go of daddy's hair little princess." John said sweetly as he tried to get out of the vehicle after Dodger. Bellamy and Lexa were waiting for them as Murphy stuck his feet out of the taxi and attempted to pay the taxi driver while feeling a final pull on his hair before being able to move his head freely. Dodger grabbed the diaper bag and handed it to Lexa as Bellamy paid the taxi driver.

John got out of the taxi as Clarke made Violet let go of his hair. Violet yawned before sucking on her pacifier more and shaking her rattle. As Murphy helped Clarke and Violet out of the vehicle, he smiled at Dodger who stood near the hotel door with Lexa. As John put his wallet away he took Violet and offered Clarke his hand with a smile on his face. "My love, are you ready to eat?" John asked as the taxi drove away. As Lexa held the door open, Dodger took his sister from his dad and walked inside to the hotel's restaurant. Bellamy was holding Violet's car seat and he helped Clarke inside with John's assistance. Lexa followed them inside and watched as Dodger sat down at a booth.

As John watched Lexa get a chair he smiled as Bellamy handed him the babies car seat. John placed the carseat facing the leather booth before watching Dodger place his sister inside. He watched as Violet shook her rattle happily while sucking on her pacifier. John smiled as the waitress approached and took their orders. "So cute...yes you are..." John said as he tickled Violet. Violet hit John with her rattle as he sits at the table. "Ow! Clarke you sit next to baby Violet...she keeps hitting me. That rattle hurts." John said as he rubbed the back of his left hand and looked at Clarke. Dodger smirked as he ordered a chocolate milk. "Can we get a child's cup of water for the baby? I'll have a cup of coffee and a water as well please." John said to the waitress with a smile as he got up out of the booth so Clarke could sit next to Violet.

Clarke tried to get Violet to let go of her father's hair. She whispered to her "Violet darling you need to let go of your father's hair sweetheart." She tried grabbing onto her daughter's hand to release it. It was quite frustrating since Violet wasn't cooperating with her. She grabbed Violet's rattle and softly shook it in front of her as she said "if you let go you can have this rattle." She smiled when they arrived at the hotel and Violet let go Murphy's hair finally as she gave her the rattle and got out of the taxi.

She held Violet as she switched with John to sit next to her. She smiled as she said "I'm so sorry about Violet hitting you with the rattle and pulling your hair in the taxi." She gently kissed him lovingly on the lips as they waited until the waitress brought the drinks for everybody. She rubbed John's shoulders gently as she saw the waitress bring them their drinks. She didn't know if the waitress got what she wanted to drink so just in case she waited to make sure before letting the waitress go. "Can I get a lemonade please?" she asked as she glanced at Lexa who ordered two for them as well.

"What would ye like to eat, lads and lassies?" the waitress asked as she took their food orders and gave the baby a new bottle. The bottle was Irish green with yellow shamrocks decorating it and it had Ireland written in a fancy text in red. Inside the new bottle was water as it was given to John for the new baby. "On behalf of the hotel and all of us in Ireland, we would love for you to have this for the new baby." the waitress said as the others smiled. Dodger looked at the bottle and smiled as he saw a package for him from the hotel being brought to the table. "On behalf of the hotel we give ye this gift little laddie." the hotel owner said as he handed the present to Dodger. Dodger looked at his parents before feeling the present being ripped from his hands by Bellamy. "Hey!" Dodger cried as he struggled to get the gift back. Bellamy quickly handed the gift to Lexa to examine as he covered Dodger's mouth with his hand. "Silence you guys...Remember, we aren't from here...anything we eat or drink may be contaminated. Gifts as well. You don't know if it's a bomb or anything." Bellamy hissed to Dodger as he uncovered his mouth and looked at Lexa. Lexa held the gift to her ear and gently shook it. "All good." Lexa said as she gave the gift back to Dodger with a smile. As Dodger unwrapped it he saw a little leprechaun with a pot of gold inside a clear ball.

"Dad? Why's it in a clear ball?" Dodger asked as he set it on the table. "It's a snow globe laddie." the hotel owner said as he smiled. Bellamy took the snow globe and shook it so Dodger could see what it did. As Dodger watched the stuff inside float around the leprechaun he smiled and said, "Cool. Thank you Mister hotel owner." John tested the baby bottle liquid before giving it to Violet. He heard what Bellamy had said and he didn't want anything happening to his newborn daughter. He looked at the hotel owner and said, "Thank you. We'll pay you for the bottle and snow globe." The owner shook his head and said, "No need to lad. As a fellow clansman it is my honor to give these to you and your family. Here, a wedding gift for you and your wife. Here's one for you two as well." As more presents came John looked and saw boxes of clothes being brought out for each of them. Inside the boxes were t-shirts, sweaters and gloves all saying Ireland with a clover on them.

Clarke rolled her eyes as she looked at the menu for something that wasn't contaminated. She thought if we have to make sure that everything wasn't contaminated why did we bother coming at all. She realized that everybody needed to eat something. She wondered what Dodger and Murphy wanted to eat since she didn't know and she couldn't speak for them. She was going to get Violet something that was soft and she was able to eat. She wondered what either Bellamy or Lexa was going to want to eat. She wasn't sure yet what she wanted to eat.

She looked at the menu again before looking up at the waitress. She figured that she would let the others order before her so that she could make sure she was absolutely sure of what she wanted. She closed the menu as she said to the waitress "I'll have the sheppards pie and I'll have the irish colcannon potatoes for the young one." She handed the waitress the menu as she looked at the shirts that her and Murphy got from the hotel. The outfit that the hotel gave them for Violet was so cute.

"Is the carrot soup any good?" Dodger asked as the waitress smiled and nodded her head. "Aye, it's one of my favorite dishes." the waitress said. "I'll have the corned beef and a round of soda bread for everyone. Please lassie." John said as he handed the menu to the waitress and took a sip of his Irish coffee. He looked over at Dodger and watched as he examined the snow globe that his sister had also gotten. "Mummy...Violet got a globe too." Dodger said as he gave Violet's snow globe to his mother with a smile. After Bellamy and Lexa ordered their food the owner of the hotel left after his wait staff took all the present garbage away. "If you need anything just let me know." the owner said to John as he handed him his card. "We will most certainly let you know. Thank you." Murphy replied as he pocketed the card.

Clarke smiled as she took the snowglobe from dodger and looked at it until their food was brought over to the table. She showed Violet the snowglobe and said "look what I have Violet darling it's a snowglobe." She gently shook the snowglobe and showed Violet. She handed the snowglobe back to Dodger as she said to him as she asked him to hold Violet's snowglobe until the food came. She looked around the room and then at Murphy and Bellamy. She saw Lexa out of the corner of her eye as she turned her attention back over towards Violet.

Lexa smiled as she looked at Violet who was reaching for the snowglobe with her rattle. "Looks like Violet likes the snowglobe." Lexa said as she watched the waitress bring the food to the table. "Don't worry everyone...There are no zombies or infection in the kitchens or this hotel. The infection is only in the states as far as we know." the waitress said as she smiled at Clarke after placing her plate on the table. She then handed Dodger his food and gave Murphy his before returning to the kitchen for the rest. As she returned with two plates she smiled before giving them to Bellamy and Lexa. "For the colcannon did you want any chives in it or just the potatoes?" the waitress asked as she looked at Violet who was beginning to get fussy for not getting her food from the waitress.

Clarke was concerned but she went and got Violet's pacifier to calm her down until her food came. She told the waitress that she wanted just the potatoes for the little one. She was relieved when the waitress brought over Violet's food. She started with feeding Violet her food as she ate some of her own food in between each feeding. Before she continued to feed Violet she took a napkin and wiped her face. She quietly asked Violet if she wanted any more from her bottle before she went ahead and gave the little one more of her potatoes.

Violet cooed and giggled as she ate the potatoes and drank her water. John looked at Bellamy who was kissing Lexa and he smiled before tossing a chocolate coin at his face. Dodger caught the coin and put it on the table. "You know better than to toss money at people dad. Especially when they aren't looking." Dodger said as she glared at John. "Oi! It's chocolate little lad. It's not going to hurt him." John said as he laughed and tossed another chocolate coin at his friends. This time Lexa caught the coin and threw it back at Murphy before breaking her kiss and glaring at him. "It's not from me. It came with the check. I'm paying the bill. When you're done you guys can do whatever you want. We're taking the children to the Blarney stone after Violet's nap." Murphy said as he tossed the chocolate back at Lexa.

Clarke rolled her eyes but she chuckled when she heard Dodger scolding Murphy for throwing a coin at Bellamy. "Dodger don't worry about them just focus on finishing your food." She fed Violet the last of her potatoes so that she could finish eating her food so that John could pay the check and they could leave. When she was done she gave Murphy a slight nod letting him know that she along with Violet were finished eating. She managed to grab a couple of the coins so that she could make use of them later. She fed Violet her bottle as she kissed Violet's forehead.

As Dodger finished his food he drank his juice and smiled at his dad and Uncle before looking at Violet and giving her a stuffed leprechaun. Violet looked at the weird toy and began to chew on it's funny hat before cooing and laughing as Dodger tickled her feet. Murphy looked at Dodger and then at Violet before leaning over and kissing Clarke gently on her right cheek. Dodger gave Violet a kiss on her cheek before saying, "I love you baby sister. I'll take care of you no matter what." Hearing this Murphy stopped what he was doing and looked at Bellamy. "Don't even think about it Bells. What happened up there is of no concern to what is going on now. I'll explain it to him later. Don't ruin the mood for Dodger with what happened in the past." John said to Bellamy as he glared at him before standing up and letting Clarke slide out of the booth.

He looked at Dodger and picked up the gifts from the hotel owner. "Hey! That's mine! Give it back dad!" Dodger fussed as he tried to grab his snow globe from John, who gave him an angry look and almost dropped it on the ground. "You can have it back later tonight. I'm taking it up to our room so no one steals it." John said as he placed both snow globes into a duffel bag and zipped it closed after tucking the items into the shirts and hats they were given. As he walked to the room he watched as Dodger glared at him before unlocking the suite door and placing the bag into the closet. As John closed the door he searched the room for any hidden cameras or microphones. Dodger watched his father from the doorway before asking, "What are you looking for dad?" Murphy gave a sigh before turning to his adopted kin and motioning for him to sit on the bed. "I'm looking for surveillance stuff like hidden microphones or hidden cameras. We can't be too careful here son. Remember, we're not in familiar territory and it's not safe here." John whispered as he gave Dodger a small hug. "I'm sorry about earlier. You can have your globe back after we go see the blarney stone okay?" he said in a normal voice a bit louder as he glanced around the room.

Dodger nodded his head in acknowledgement before giving his dad a hug. He then parted his blonde hair like Murphy's and after getting help from him, they looked in the mirror. "Can I wear my hair like you do dad?" Dodger asked as he looked at John's hair gel. "Ask yer mum, little lad." Murphy replied as he looked to the doorway to see Bellamy, Lexa and Clarke standing in the doorway. He looked down and saw baby Violet in her carrier asleep on the floor. "Huh? Aww, Sissy is so cute when she sleeps." Dodger whispered as he looked at Violet and started to move towards her. Murphy grabbed his arm and placed him back onto the bed behind him. "If you wake her up, your mum will give you a sore bottom. If she doesn't then I'll have Uncle Bellamy take a belt to your behind. If he doesn't then you'll have to deal with me. You won't like me when I'm angry." Murphy said as he placed Dodger on the bed. He gave him a stern look before letting him go and holding his finger to his lips. "If you wake Violet you will be in trouble. Do you understand? Nod your head if you understand." John said quietly as he tried to keep Dodger from waking his baby sister up.

Clarke smiled as she looked at Dodger and Violet as she watched Dodger entertain Violet. She looked at Murphy with a concerned expression on her face and whispered into his ear so that she wouldn't make a scene "john what the hell is going on?" She wanted to know what John was telling Bellamy but she hoped that he would tell her later. She sighed as she kissed Murphy's left cheek and picked Violet up and slid out of the booth. She gave Dodger a look as she motioned for him to slide out of the booth and join her by her side.

She held onto John's hand and shook her head as she glared at him for taking the snow globe away but turned to Dodger and said "let your father carry all of the gifts up to the hotel room darling." She sat on the bed cradling Violet in her arms. She whispered to Dodger "dodger darling your father knows what he's doing and he's right we are in an unfamiliar place so we can't be too careful." She got up and hugged both Murphy and Dodger before going back to cradling Violet and kissing Violet on her forehead.

Clarke smiled as she chuckled and said "seems like our son wants to be like his father." Before Dodger could ask her "yes Dodger you can wear your hair like your father." She whispered to Dodger "isn't she cute although it isn't wise for you to wake her." She glared at Murphy before sternly saying "I will deal with Dodger and you and Bellamy won't have to get involved okay." She pulled Dodger away and layed Violet down so that she could have a talk and deal with John where Dodger and Violet won't have to hear what they were saying.

Murphy gave the "uh-oh" look to Bellamy as he watched Clarke block the doorway. Shit.... he thought as he noticed the windows didn't open. He went to duck into the closet but that would be too obvious. Violet began to cry as she woke up. Murphy walked over and took Violet from Clarke and he began to rock her back to sleep. A strange smell was coming from Violet and Dodger knew what it was as he tried to hide behind Lexa. "Don't let Uncle beat me up Aunt Lexa." Dodger said as he watched Violet vomit on his dad. "Blargh...Princess, oh no. Clarke, Violet has a fever. Phew! Dirty diaper too." Murphy said as he watched the vomit hit his shirt and gagged from the smell of the poop in Violet's diaper. "I'll clean her up love. I was going to shower anyways. Besides you need to rest my queen. Bellamy? Can you and Lexa watch Dodger for a bit? Just until I'm done cleaning up Violet." Murphy said as he took Violet into the bathroom and turned on cold water in the tub.

Clarke knew that with blocking the door there wasn't going to be much options that Murphy would have if he wanted to escape. She sighed as she muttered "shit" when she heard Violet wake up from her nap. She rushed over to Violet and scrunched her nose as she cradled Violet. There seemed to be a vile smell coming from Violet's bottom. She looked at Murphy as she asked him "are you sure babe?" She wasn't going to argue with John since she was feeling rather tired. She handed Murphy Violet and climbed into bed. She could hear the sound of the shower but as she fell asleep she couldn't help thinking maybe Murphy needed help with Violet. She needed to focus on distracting herself from her thoughts so that she could get some sleep. She wasn't going to hesitate to wake up if John needed her help or if she was having a hard time sleeping.
