It was late at night as John Murphy sat in his cell. He was in solitary confinement for a haneous crime. He had killed his own father and was blamed for his mother's death. No one believed him when he tried to tell them that she had died in a puddle of her own vomit from drinking too much alcohol. Tch...this sucks... he thought as he saw a female being escorted past his cell by two guards. Murphy let out a small chuckle before walking up to the cell bars. " So, What are you in for Princess?" he asked her as he gave her a small smile. Before she had time to reply, Murphy stuck his right hand between the bars and snagged the guards keys quietly. He then tucked the keys into his jacket and winked at the female. " Don't worry Princess...I'll get you out soon." he said quietly but loud enough for only her to hear. |

Clarke was being escorted by two guards which she didn't even look at them. She noticed a male sitting in a cell although she didn't know what he was in for. She didn't know who the male was. She was going to tell him what she was in for when she heard him say that he'll get her out soon. She smiled as she saw him snatch the guard's keys. She spoke to him only loud enough for him to hear " I'm in here because I killed some sky people." She wondered what would happen to the male when she was freed. She whispered and asked him " What about you? What's going to happen to you?" Tag: John Murphy |

Murphy chuckled and replied, "I'm in for the long haul. I got blamed for a murder I didn't commit." After the guards left, he unlocked his cell door and snuck over to the female's cell. He fiddled with the keys before finding the correct one to unlock her cell door. "If we get caught...they will float us." John said to her before smiling. "John Murphy. Come on Princess...Let's get out of here." he said in a hushed voice before tucking the keys back into his jacket. As he took her hand he pulled her close before planting a quick kiss onto her lips. "The guards will be back soon...it's now or never." he added on before pulling her after him as they ran down the hall way.

Clarke smiled but she wondered why someone would blame him for a crime that he didn't do. She didn't have much time to think about it. She said to him in a hushed whisper like tone "Then we better start running. I'm not leaving without you." She pulled him close to her and gave him a quick kiss. "Let's go then. My name's Clarke Griffin." She said as she held on tight to his hand while they ran towards the hallway. She was greatful that he had freed her.

As a guard turned the corner Murphy slammed his free hand into his face. They continued to run down the hall before turning the corner and running into a Council member. The Council member was none other than Marcus Kane. Murphy froze before grabbing the stun stick and attempting to knock out the man in front of them. "Well, looks like we got caught after all. Guess it's time for me to be floated." he said before being disarmed and forced to the ground by Kane. With his one arm now behind his back and his other hand still entangled in Clarke's, John Murphy tried to break free of Kane's grasp. It was no use since the older man was a lot heavier than himself. "Put us on the drop ship with the rest of the delinquents or I'll make your life hell." Murphy spat at Kane, as he was hauled to his feet he was forced to let go of Clarke's hand.
"Don't worry about me...run Princess...run..." he sputtered as Kane placed him into a headlock while still holding Murphy's hand behind his back. The other prison guards were now in the hallways as Kane took control of the situation and whispered into his ear, "You will not be leaving the Ark alive."

Clarke looked behind as she took a look at the guards and Marcus Kane got ahold of John Murphy. She couldn't picture the man that freed her and kissed her being floated but that was one of the unfortunate consequences of escaping your cell. She held onto his other hand. She didn't want to leave him but she had no other choice. "But I love you John Murphy" she whispered to him as she ran as fast and as far away as possible. She realized that what she just said to John Murphy was probably crazy since they had just met but if that was going to be the last time they saw each other she might as well say it to him while she could.

As Murphy is brought to his feet by force he hears Clarke say that she loves him. His face goes to shock, but before he could reply to Clarke he is thrown against the right wall by Kane. " After her you fools! I'll handle this one." Kane yells at the guards surrounding them. A few guards take off towards Clarke as John Murphy is released from his death grip. He coughs a few times before attempting to punch Kane in his face. As his punch is blocked, he starts to get angry. " You won't like me when I'm angry." John Murphy said darkly. He then shoved Kane away from him and prepared to spar. " You ready?" he asked as he threw a few more punches. Kane smiles and says, " Let's go." As Marcus Kane fights back, John takes a few hits to the chest and face. Murphy spat blood at the ground as he said, " Is that all you got? My father used to hit me harder than you are now!" He then chuckled as he knew he hit a sore spot by the expression on Kane's face. " You watch your mouth! I've had it with you insolent brats!" Kane replied as he too spit blood onto the ground. The guards returned without Clarke and Kane stopped fighting Murphy as he said, " You and Clarke are joining the others in the drop ship. Get out of my sight." John Murphy was sore from his fight as he staggered back to the hallway that Clarke had taken off down. He whistled the code for all clear as he looked for his new comrade. He wanted to make her his girlfriend, but he would ask her once they were on the ground. For now, he needed medical attention and a good nights sleep. |

Clarke was running through the hallway. She was hoping that John Murphy was still alive. She knew that the guards would soon be coming for her. She just had to stay ahead of the guards. She couldn't think about what could possibly be going on between John Murphy and Marcus Kane. She heard a bit of silence before she heard a whistle. She didn't know who did the whistle or where the whistle was coming from. She crept closer and saw that John Murphy made the whistle. She was glad that he was alive. She ran towards John Murphy and looked at him. He was hurt so she put her arm around him and helped him towards her mother.

John straggled weakly over to the wall before collapsing. As Clarke returned to him he gave her a smile before grimacing in pain. He had a few broken ribs and a busted up nose. His knuckles were bloody and he could barely stand. As Clarke helped him to Abby Griffin he said, " Hey, Princess. You came back...so...ugh...what did I hear about...love?" His thoughts were still back on the fight with Kane and his vision was becoming blurred. |

Clarke smiled as she stayed by his side. She shrugged as she figured that she owed it to John Murphy to explain what she had said to him during his fight with Marcus Kane. " John I know you probably don't remember what I had previously said to you while you were fighting Marcus Kane I'll explain it to you. When I thought you were going to get floated for both of us escaping our cells I said that I loved you and I still love you." She thought that maybe her explanation of what she had said might have confused John Murphy. Tag: John Murphy |

John smiled before saying, " Just shut-up and kiss me." He then pulled her in close and ignoring his pain he gives Clarke a loving and long kiss on the lips. A security guard walks by a couple of minutes later and shocks Murphy with his baton. Breaking the romantic kiss and falling to his knees he screams in pain. " You bastard! What was that for? Aaaaagh! I can't breathe...The pain...is too much...damn you Kane!" he yells in between gasps of air while being shocked a few more times. The guard didn't know the extent of Murphy's injuries as he shocked him for a final time. " I don't have to justify the way I live my life. Do you know why? I found out the hard way..." Murphy said to the guard before laying on the ground. He let Clarke take care of him medically while he tried to stay conscious. |

Clarke smiled as she romantically kissed John Murphy while she held him close to her. She then sees a security guard come up and shock him. She knew that the security guard didn't know the extent of John Murphy's injuries. She fell to her knees as she muttered under her breath "That no good...dirty rotten...piece of shit security guard shocking him while he's injured." She wanted to punch the security guard for shocking Murphy while he was injured, but she had to take care of John's injuries and try to keep him alive. "You don't have to justify anything John, just stay with me."
Clarke then got to taking care of his injuries, since she had learned some medical things from her mother. Clarke took a look at his busted up nose first. It was hard for him to breathe and it looked like it was a complicated fracture. From the looks of it, and from what she knew from what her mother had said, she would need to do some surgery to put the bone and the cartilage back into place. She got some of her mother's tools -that she would use for surgeries- and said "Murphy...just remain calm everything will be alright."
Clarke then got to work repairing and putting the bone and cartilage back into place. When she was just about done she put gauze in his nostrils to stop the bleeding and put some ice on his nose to help with the swelling. She took a look at the man's ribs and a few of them were broken. She gave him a corticosteroid injection near the site of the rib injury to help ease his breathing and to help with inflammation. She helped him up and walked him over to a place where he could rest since he surely needed it. Clarke then whispered to him "John? Can you hear me? Stay conscious and don't worry I'll be right here." She stayed by his side and watched over him.

John felt the cotton go into his nose, so he started to breathe through his mouth. Slowly but surely he began to feel a lot better. As he opened his eyes he saw Clarke and smiled. He then saw the guard behind her with his baton raised and ready to strike. "Oh no you don't!" Bellamy yelled as he football tackled the guard. Jasper appeared next to Murphy and as he looked at Clarke he saw Chancellor Kane walking towards them with more guards and Clarke's mother, Abby. "We got company guys...this isn't looking good..." Jasper said.
As Kane saw the blood and medical tools he started to reprimand Clarke for not taking Murphy to her mother. "You should have brought him to your mother. This is a hallway not a medical tunnel Miss Griffin." Abby examined the work that her daughter had done before wrapping Murphy's ribs with an ace bandage. "John Murphy will be fine. Mister Blake what do you think you're doing tackling a guard? Jasper take Mister Blake to the drop ship." Abby said as she helped Murphy sit up. Bellamy started to reply but he would let Clarke explain. As Bellamy and Jasper left, Murphy stood up and glared at Kane.
Kane took out his baton and started the electricity up before approaching John. As Murphy quickly faced Clarke as he stepped in front of her to protect her. He grimaced as pain shot through his body. "Get to the drop ship princess...we don't have time to waste. I'll be right behind you." John said as he kissed her on her left cheek.
He then turned and saw Abby between himself and Marcus Kane. "Get going you two. John, promise me you will protect Clarke no matter what." Abby said as she gave her daughter a kiss and a hug goodbye. She then gave Murphy a gentle hug goodbye. Murphy smiled and said, "Yes ma'am. I will protect Clarke with my life. Thanks for the help Miss Griffin. Come on Clarke let's meet up with the gang." He then put his arm around her shoulder as they walked down the hallway to the ship.
Marcus Kane put his baton away as he stared at Abby before saying, "You better hurry! The drop ship is about to launch. We'll see you soon. John! Catch!" He then tossed an Earth police badge and an extra stun baton to Murphy before walking with Abby back to the mess hall.

Clarke smiled at John as she saw two guys who she didn't recognize. She thought who the hell are those guys. She saw guards come in with her mother and Chancellor Kane. She knew that the situation didn't look good. She looked at the guy that tackled one of the guards and thought is that guy insane. She explained herself by saying "It was an emergency I needed to take care of Murphy before he went unconscious." She looked over at John who was with her mother. "If you are going to strike anyone with that damn baton it's going to be me." She looked over at John Murphy. She kissed him on the cheek.
Clarke saw her mother get in between Murphy and Kane. She thought was her mother insane. She heard her mother talking to John. She was greatful that her mother wanted Murphy to protect her. She gave her mother a hug and kiss goodbye as she put her arm around John. She walked with him towards the drop ship. She noticed that Murphy had a stun baton and a badge and wondered what he was going to do with a badge and stun baton.

" We're going to need security when we get to the ground. Jasper, Finn, Bellamy, you and I are taking charge once we land back on Earth." Murphy said as he saw Bellamy waiting for them. " Come on you two...everyone is ready. Here let me help you Murphy." Bellamy said as he helped Clarke carry John onto the ship. Jasper closed the airlock and sat down in his seat after Clarke and Bellamy strapped John into his seat. " Easy...I'm good. Strap yourselves in." he said to Bellamy and Clarke. As the other delinquents took their seats they ship lurched as it was undocked from the Ark. |
