It was early in the morning as Gavin woke up and got dressed. After putting on his leather jacket and boots over his blue shirt and a pair of black jeans, he left his tent to grab a cup of coffee. There were other Ark guards around the camp talking among themselves. As Gavin got his coffee he smiled at his fellow guards. "Morning guys. What's the plan for today?" he asked as he approached a group of guards who were also drinking coffee.
As he saw a delinquent beginning to argue with a guard he shook his head before taking a sip of his coffee and walking over to the delinquent. "I got this bro. Okay you little punk. You want to smart mouth a guard? How about taking me on?" Gavin said as the other guards formed a circle around the two. He let the delinquent make the first move. As his coffee was spilled on him he got mad. "Ooh...You just made him mad...you do not spill Gavin's coffee bro! How many times have we told you that? Now you're going to get it!" another guard said as Gavin dropped his cup and blocked a few punches before kicking the kid away from him.
As the fight began, Gavin gave the delinquent a broken nose with an elbow drop and a few bruised ribs from a few kicks. He then flipped the kid over his shoulder and slammed him into the dirt. As he stood up he said, "That's why you don't mess with the fighting instructor! Never spill my coffee again..."

In terms of friendship, Gavin likes to keep to himself. He may be seen hanging around the Chancellors and other guards, but he mainly wants to be left alone. Gavin does have a few close friends, but they were killed on the descent to Earth in the first descent.

Anyone who gets on his bad side or makes him angry is considered Gavin's enemy. He doesn't really like goody-two shoes people or people who like to bully others. If Gavin sees someone being a bully he will stop them and probably end up fighting them himself.
