Captured by the Enemy [M- Murphy's betrayal]

Clarke let out a sigh of relief,she trusted Bellamy and hoped things go well in the negotiations. She chuckled softly and held Murphy's hand as they walked with the child over to Kane and her mother. She picked up the child as she watched John sign the papers. Once Murphy was done signing the papers she put the child down and took the pen from John and signed the papers and handed the papers and the pen back to her mother. She chuckled softly as she picked Dodger up and held him. She didn't want her son to get trampled by the other kids. She put Dodger down and hugged him as she smiled and said to him "I love you too my dear son."

Clarke looked at her mother then at Dodger and Murphy. She wanted to give Dodger a good life. She didn't have a single doubt that they would be good parents for Dodger. Even if it meant her putting her life on the line for both her husband and her son. She was going to protect her family at all cost. She still wondered how the negotiations were going and if anything was agreed upon by Skaikru and Azgedia. She wondered what the negotiations could mean for both nations and her family.

As King Roan smiled and shook Lexa's hand Murphy knew they had come to an agreement. "We're good now honey. Everything should be fine..." John said as Dodger ran over to Bellamy and gave him a hug. "I'll go get him...I need to talk to Bells anyway." John added on after giving Clarke a hug and a kiss. The other children made a single file line to get their cookies before thanking Marcus and Abby for making them. Marcus smiled as he watched Dodger and the other children play tag and hide-and-seek. As Murphy followed Dodger he heard Roan say, "Then it is settled. Thank-you for agreeing to this peace treaty Heda." John watched Bellamy give Dodger a hug before saying, "I'm not your father little one. I'm your uncle." John chuckled as he gave Bellamy a hug and whispered to him, "If anything happens to Clarke or myself, we would like you and Lexa to watch after Dodger...and any other siblings he may have." Bellamy returned the hug before saying, "You got it brother."

As Clarke smiled and watched Dodger play with the other children,she looked over at Murphy as he said to her that everything was fine now. She had her thoughts and doubts but she did trust John. She slightly smiled as she hugged and kissed Murphy. She knew that nothing was certain and that there was the possibility of something happening to either herself or John or maybe both of them. She smiled as she looked over at Bellamy and John. She knew that she could trust Bellamy but she wasn't really too sure if she trusted Lexa at all. She walked over towards where her mother and Marcus were standing and stood by them.

As Nikolai saw a boar charging for Dodger he fired an arrow. Murphy saw this and screamed as he sprinted over to his son. Dodger took out his father's knife and held it in front of him with the blade pointed towards the boar. As John pulled his son backwards he watched the boar fall. Susan glared at Nikolai as she saw that he was being attacked by nomads once again. She quickly gave out the warning signal before jumping to Nikolai's aide and yelling, "Take cover! Nomads incoming!" As Murphy watched Jasper run to Finn, they gathered up the children and escorted them into the Ark as Murphy looked back at Bellamy and King Roan. Lexa said something to Indra before walking over to Clarke and saying, "Dr. Griffin and Mrs. Murphy, It's not safe out here for any of you. Please go with the children inside. We will take care of the wounded after the battle is over. With as many hunters as you Skaikru have, we should be fine. With Bellamy and your husband leading us alongside King Roan I know we can take them all out." Murphy helped Dodger up and gave him a quick hug and kiss before sending him after his friends.

"Protect your mother and friends. Your uncle and I will take care of things out here with King Roan, Aunt Lexa and Grandpa Kane. Go now...Take your mother and grandma to your friends. I love you son." Murphy quickly said as he watched Lexa return with Clarke and Abby. Bellamy tossed Murphy his rifle before ruffling Dodger's hair. "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to your dad. You just watch out for your mum and grandma." Bellamy said as he smiled. Susan gave the signal again as the hunters surrounded Nikolai. Susan then set off the tripwires and bombs surrounding the base before taking Nikolai to Abby and the children. "Nikolai will help protect you guys. Please take care of his injury first. Niko-kun...please help protect the children my love. I will protect all of you from the treeline. Good luck everyone." Susan said before disappearing. Dodger nodded his head before running after his mother and grandmother.

Clarke was rushing over to Dodger but she stopped when she saw Murphy. She ran towards Murphy and Dodger and yanked the knife away from dodger so that she could kill the boar herself. As she watched the boar fall she picked up and had Dodger and follow the other kids back to the ark. She nodded at Lexa as she and her mother followed the other children back to the ark.

Clarke and her mother made sure that everyone was accounted for and that everyone was safe. She walked over to Dodger and picked him up and held him as she rested her head gently on her son's shoulder. She wasn't sure if Murphy was alright but all she could do is hope that he was alright. She had asked her mother if she knew how many people were injured or even killed. When her mother shook her head she layed her head on her mother's shoulder and prayed that everyone that was fighting would be alright and make it out alive. She hugged and kissed Dodger as she was glad that he was alright and alive. She covered Dodger's ears as she heard the bombs go off. She walked over as she comforted some of the children who were scared by the sound of the bombs going off. She said softly to the children "it's alright there it was just a bomb going off there's no need to be scared you're here safe and sound."

"Raven! We need those grenades soon!" Bellamy cried as he watched Susan run and jump into the nearest tree. As she did this he saw an arrow fire after her from the Ark. "No! Susan!" Bellamy screamed as he watched a nomad take the hit from the arrow. As Gavin ran with Marty and Francesca they took out the oncoming assault at the south entrance as Kane and Bellamy took care of the north entrance. Susan continued the fight from the treeline as Murphy fired from the lookout tower with 10K. As the explosions from the bombs went off the nomads fell out of the trees and John picked them off one by one. Once Susan gave the final whistle after doing a perimeter sweep she landed next to Murphy before saying, "All clear."

A final explosion was heard as King Roan and Lexa tossed grenades at the final nomads who were running away. Roan spotted his spy and he nodded his head. Susan saw this and she took John's weapon before firing it at the spy from Azgeda. John watched as Gavin took out two pistols before watching him fire at the rest of the rogue and nomad grounders while sliding on his knees. He chuckled before feeling a sharp pain in his left lung. A stray bullet had gone through his weapon into his chest. "Susan....take care of Dodger for me...If anything happens to me or Bellamy I want you to look after Dodger...Now...Go get Abby..." John said as he fell to his knees while clutching his chest.

Susan yelled, "Bellamy! Get over here now!" Dodger watched as his father got hit and he yelled, "Father! Nooooooo!" As he tried to run towards his father he was pulled back by Clarke. "Dad needs us!" he cried as he threw the knife to Susan. Susan caught the knife as Bellamy put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. Finn and Jasper blocked the children from interfering as Abby knew Susan could take care of the procedure.

As Murphy laid on the ground he watched as Nyko and King Roan approached. When Susan cut into his chest he screamed in pain before taking slow breaths. As Susan removed the bullet she let Nyko sew John up before watching him place a salve on the wound. Susan recognized the mixture in the salve and she nodded her head. The bullet that had hit Murphy had been laced with the same poison that she had encountered earlier that month. Bellamy looked at Lexa and nodded his head in approval. Lexa turned to Dodger and Clarke and said, "He'll be fine. Nyko is tending to him."

Clarke was getting nervous about what was going on outside of the ark. She couldn't let the children know how she was feeling. She smiled at the children as she looked over at her mother. She looked over at Dodger before getting up and going to see what was going on.

She had heard an explosion but couldn't make out where the explosion happened. She saw dodger and the other children coming from behind her out of the corner of her eye. She guarded the other children and Dodger as she stood in front of them. She looked at the children and then to her mother as she stepped out of the ark. Clarke had wondered if maybe Francesca, Marty, Bellamy or Gavin were nearby. She kind of figured that nothing good was happening and she soon realized that the nomad and rogue grounders were attacking.

As she watched Murphy get hit, she wanted to scream but then the children would start screaming and freaking out and that would only make things worse. She saw Dodger trying to run after John, but she was able to pull him back. She said quietly to Dodger "Dodger it's not safe for you to go out there like that. Your father is with Susan and Uncle Bellamy, Mister Nyko, Aunt Lexa, Marty and Francesca. Susan and Nyko are taking care of him so he'll be fine."

She held onto Dodger as she looked at Jasper and Finn who were holding back the other children. She saw a glint off of the bullet as it was removed while Nyko and Susan tended to Murphy. She walked over to Jasper and Finn as she loosened her grip on Dodger and she whispered to them "Let's get the children back into the Ark where it's safe."

Dodger struggled against his mother's grasp before watching Bellamy give a thumbs up. As his mother loosened her grasp he broke free and attempted to run to his father. Marcus blocked Dodger's path as he said, "Listen to your mother. Do as she says and go with your friends back to the Ark." Dodger grumbled as he said, "Move gramps! I don't have to listen to you." John looked over to Dodger and he smiled as Bellamy helped him sit up. He then motioned for him to give him a hug as Marcus backhanded him across the face. Dodger grabbed his cheek and ran to his father crying. "Papa! Grandpa hit me! Are you okay? I thought you died..." Dodger cried as he gently hugged John. Marcus rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand as he mumbled to himself, "He's just like his father...reckless and a troublemaker."

As John watched Bellamy stop Dodger from hitting his injury he smiled. "It's okay Bells...Come here son. You need to listen to Grandpa Kane when your mother and I are busy. This goes for Uncle Bellamy and Aunt Lexa as well okay?" Murphy said as he explained to Dodger the incident and why he was backhanded. "Why? They aren't my parents...you and mom are..." Dodger replied as he sniffled. Murphy chuckled as he said, "Let me put it to you this way...say for instance your mother is tending to an injured person with Grandma's help. I'm busy fighting back the bad people to keep you safe with Uncle Bellamy. It's going to be your job to keep your friends safe in case we miss an enemy that comes after you. Do you understand?" Dodger shook his head no as Indra appeared behind Murphy. She smiled at Dodger before saying, "Maybe we should give him an example? What do you think John Murphy kom Skaikru?" Murphy looked at Kane who nodded his head in approval. "Clarke! Abby! Execute simulation 924!" Murphy yelled as everyone took their positions. The other children began to play tag with Dodger again before the siren from the hunters was heard. Dodger immediately took his friends and they began their battle simulation.

As they protected each other Dodger lead his friends outside the gates and they assisted the Hunters in fighting back the enemy. Murphy and Bellamy covered them with Marcus and Octavia. As Dodger led his team into battle he made them get into formation before advancing on Indra and her friends.

Clarke rolled her eyes as she muttered softly under her breath "kid get over here why in the hell did I loosen my grip on you." She ran up to grab a hold of Dodger so that he could go back with his friends so that she could deal with Murphy. She chuckled as she shook her head and whispered into Dodger's ear "just listen to Marcus and go with the other children." She gave Marcus a stern look as Marcus backhanded Dodger. She was angry with Marcus as she ran towards Dodger. She gave Dodger a hug as she looked at Dodger's cheek.

Jasper watched as he rolled his eyes. He ran towards Murphy to see if he was alright. As Dodger came towards John he moved Dodger out of the way. He said to Clarke as he saw her out of the corner of his eye "take him over towards the other children at the ark." He gave Dodger a stern look if Dodger thought he was going to get past him. He figured that the kid probably wanted to see if his dad was okay but the kid needed to be in a safe place.

Francesca walked over to Marcus to see what was going on since she heard slapping. She rolled her eyes as she muttered "why the fuck would you slap a child like what the hell?" She was angry at Marcus as she walked over to the child and looked over the child and looked at his cheek. She picked the child up and took him over towards the ark so that he could be safe with the other children. She whispered into Dodger's ear "your father would be alright just go with the other children to the ark so you'll be safe." Dodger struggled to get to his father as he was picked up and dragged away. "Papa! Help me!" he cried as he reached his hand out to John.

As John made sure all weapons were loaded with blank bullets he smiled and nodded his head at Dodger. "We're ready when you are." he said as he watched Francesca take him back over to Clarke at the Ark. "What the hell? Clarke! Do you want the children to be battle ready or not? They're going to need to defend themselves eventually on their own...Francesca! Put Dodger down or I will put a blank in your back. We need him to lead the children...Don't worry...None of the Trikru or Azgeda grounders will harm them. We're going with them...Come on you guys! Let the simulation begin!" Murphy cried as he watched Dodger lead his friends out into the wilderness. They were given weapons with blanks in them and helmets as well. "We're right behind you Dodger. Susan and Nikolai are covering you from above." Murphy said as he cocked his weapon and nodded his head. Dodger advanced into the forest with his friends behind him. Susan and Nikolai watched from the trees as they fired arrows deeper into the forest and took out rogue grounders. They avoided the Trikru grounders and they continued to take out the nomads and rogues. Susan looked down and saw Dodger giving orders to his friends and watching them fight back.

Clarke rolled her eyes as she shook her head at Murphy as she just wanted Dodger and the other children to be safe. She thought maybe it's a good thing to have the children be battle ready so that they wouldn't have to rely on someone getting them all to safety and maybe just maybe she was being too overprotective over the children. She nodded her head as she whispered to Dodger "go on and join the other children." She knew that John was right about getting the children battle ready. Once the children were out of earshot she said "yes Murphy I do want the children to be battle ready I was wrong for being so overly protective. You're right they should know how to defend themselves on their own." She gave John a half smile and went to the side of him. She wasn't going to do anything to stop the simulation at all. She closed her eyes briefly before she watched the simulation as it was happening. She wondered if her mother needed any help. She shrugged the thought of helping her mother off and pushed it towards the back of her mind.

"James and Mary you two take the right flank with my grandpa. Leroy and Scott go with Bellamy and take out the left flank. Dad and I will handle the group in the middle. If anything happens get back to camp and don't leave your comrades behind. Move out." Dodger said as he fired blanks at the grounders in front of them. He watched as they fell and Murphy looked at Kane and Bellamy before saying, "Don't look at me...He's the one giving orders. Just go and keep the children safe. Remember this is only a simulation. Use blanks unless they injure anyone." John smiled as he followed his son deeper into the fire fight.

As John followed Dodger he watched Nikolai and Susan advance further into the forest. They were also keeping an eye on the others as they split up. John looked at Dodger and watched him duck as a spear headed for him. As he jumped out of the way he felt the spear graze his right leg. Shit... Murphy thought as he hit the ground. He quickly fired blanks at the spear throwers as Dodger took out the leader and he stopped as he saw Indra. Looking back at his father he saw that he had been hit. Dodger fired at Indra as he backed himself to the tree that his dad was at. He quickly got behind the tree and took out an ace bandage as he wrapped his father's leg while he provided cover fire. Once the leg was taken care of, Dodger picked up his weapon and fired at Indra before radioing to Mary and Scott. "All troops! Retreat to camp! We'll rondeveau at the medical tent...Go go go go! I need cover fire!" Dodger said into the radio as Bellamy ran for their position with Leroy and Scott.

The simulation ended as everyone returned to Arkadia. Murphy was being helped back by Bellamy as the wound he received was still there. "Nicely done everyone...Dodger good work son." Murphy said as everyone dispersed and went about their business. Murphy and Bellamy went to the medical tent to have the injury looked at.

Clarke shrugged as she sighed before muttering "there must be something that I can do to protect Murphy and Dodger as well as the others I can't just sit here and do nothing as I watch this all happen. I know it's just a simulation and not an actual battle but like an actual battle there's the possibility of any of them getting injured or killed." She didn't want to sit and watch it all unfold in front of her. If she wanted to do anything to even protect the others at all she would need to get herself into the simulation.

Clarke sat down against a tree as she closed her eyes and thought you said to your husband that it was a good idea for Dodger and the other children to learn how to fight so they could defend themselves in an actual battle why on earth are you going back on your word. She just needed to relax and maybe distract herself from the simulation. She went back to the medical tent to see if her mother needed any help with anything. She figured that Dodger and the other children would be alright fighting in the simulation.

She smiled at her mother as she helped her mother prepare for anyone that might have gotten injured during the simulation. She figured that soon enough the simulation would come to an end and they would come back to camp. Clarke smiled as she saw Murphy and Bellamy come into the medical tent. She was glad that John and Bellamy were alright. She didn't know if Dodger and the other children were okay. She walked over to her mother and whispered to her "can you see if Dodger and the other children were alright while I take care of Murphy."

Marcus gathered the children and said, "Is anyone hurt or injured?" He watched as they all shook their heads no before smiling and saying, "Good. You're all dismissed. Go wash up and get some rest." As Dodger looked over at the medical tent sadly as he said, "It's my fault dad got injured..." Marcus knelt down and took off Dodger's helmet as he replied, "No, you did the right thing in going back to help him. That's what any true soldier would do. Now go get cleaned up and ready to eat. We found a few boars during the simulation." As Jasper and Finn skinned the boars and prepared them over the spit, Dodger gave Marcus a hug and whispered, "Thanks grandpa...You're the best." Marcus returned the hug before standing up and walking over to Bellamy. As he placed his hand on Murphy's shoulder he smiled before whispering, "You did a good job since the adoption. He's got potential and better leadership than myself."

Clarke looked over at Dodger as she walked over to him. She said softly to Dodger "you did great my son however it isn't your fault that your father got injured so you should stop blaming yourself for what happened to your father. Your father will be alright,just go ahead and wash up with the others and get some rest." She smiled as she hugged Dodger before returning back to Murphy to help her mother take care of John's injury. She looked over at her mother and nodded as she removed the bandage on Murphy's leg so she could examine his injury. She whispered into John's ear and said "you did good babe don't worry everything will be alright I love you." She went ahead and washed his leg with a wet cloth before she went ahead and stitched up the wound. She dried the wound and stitched up the wound then bandaged up Murphy's leg.
